The wellness of the Wellmans’ was improved today as we finally got out on the river after months of attempts. First time fly fishing on Boulder Creek was an overall success. We struggled with the common mistakes of first time fly fisherman: casting, reading the actions of indicator, setting the hook at the right time and in the right direction, and also keeping the correct amount of pressure on the fish during the fight. I look forward to doing it again, and starting where we left off….a big tangle : ) Thanks Jeff, Dana, and Doug. This day was not about the fishing, or the catching, but the great father-son adventure.
