We we into the Wild Basin entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park to explore some brook trout waters close to the entrance of the park. We fished dry dropper rigs for a majority of the time. The fish were less aggressive in the afternoon sun but occasionally hit the dry fly. There was a good golden stonefly hatch around 4pm and Dennis caught the fish of the day on a Yellow Sallie. Many of our fish hit a micro mayfly dropper. At the end of the trip I put on an indicator with a white caddis and pink worm for Cindy, both flies caught fish. Matt was off in the woods looking for Sasquatch most of the trip, so I didn’t get a picture of him. I might have gotten the Sasquatch picture, but with the tree in the way, I’m not so sure.
