8/27 A.M. Jason and Jen

First time fly fishers from Kansas, we pulled off at the National Forest Service property sign down canyon and fished up river.  Within the first 5 casts Jen hooked and landed a nice brown trout.  Seeing the easy success, Jason tried his hand, but wasn’t so lucky as to hook one right away.  We kept working our way upriver and eventually started to hook fish on a more regular occasion.  The fish enjoy soft hackle sow bugs, and green flashback beatis.  At one moment I thought I saw a perch try and eat Jason’s indicator, but maybe not…hopefully more to come on that story.
